Open Question: What is the best allergy medicine for living with boyfriend’s dog?

I love dogs. I have one at home, and my allergies are manageable because I keep him off the furniture and out of the bedrooms. However, my boyfriend's place is just the opposite. He encourages his dog to lay on the furniture, including the bed. I always have trouble when sleeping over, because my regular allergy medication (Zyrtec) doesn't work. I've tried Benadryl and Claritin Liquidgels, which seem to work for preventing sneezing, coughing, and itchy eyes, except for the bothersome nasal decongestion. Is there another medication I can try that addresses this issue as well? Please don't respond if your only answer is to get rid of the dogs.
